What’s cracking baby?
Do you sense something different about this article? Can you sense the awesomeness exuding from your screen as you read these carefully written words that were penned by the mind of a genius?

There is power in the spoken word and I have written about this before. Actually, God wrote about it in the Bible. This year is quite the interesting year to say the least and many a times, you might get tempted to speak about all the negativity that is going on around you. I would like us to shift perspective here:
“….. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.””
John 8:26 NLT
With the pandemic and everything else going on, it can be really tempting to start talking about what is going on around you but we can always seek help from the Almighty to help us speak accordingly.
“God, give me grace to guard my lips from speaking what is wrong.”
Psalms 141:3 TPT
“Your speech should always be pleasant and interesting, and you should know how to give the right answer to everyone.”
Colossians 4:6 GNT
What are you speaking in the midst of the storm? Keep in mind that what you speak comes to life.
“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.”
Proverbs 10:11 ESV
“Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.”
Ecclesiastes 5:2 NKJV
Remember that the Lord listens to not only the words we speak from our mouths but our hearts too.
“And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”
1 Kings 3:10 KJV
“As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils, My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.”
Job 27:3-4 NKJV
Our words can build or destroy either a person or a thing. Take a look at the verse below:
““In the past you have encouraged many people; you have strengthened those who were weak. Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those with shaky knees.”
Job 4:3-4 NLT
“Do you think I couldn’t make up my mind about what to do? Or do I seem like someone who says “Yes” or “No” simply to please others? God can be trusted, and so can I, when I say our answer to you has always been “Yes” and never “No.””
2 Corinthians 1:17-18 CEVDCI
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
Hebrews 13:15 NKJV >> A tree is known by its fruit.
“Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!”
Psalms 34:12-13 NLT
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalms 19:14 NLT
“Honest words are convincing, but you are talking nonsense.”
Job 6:25 GNT
“If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.”
James 1:26 NLT
“Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!”
Psalms 34:12-13 NLT
“Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.”
Proverbs 18:20-21 NLT
“The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!”
Psalms 34:19-20 NLT
“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”
Colossians 3:8 NIV
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
Hebrews 13:15 NIV
“Guard your words and you’ll guard your life, but if you don’t control your tongue, it will ruin everything.”
Proverbs 13:3 TPT
